A year round sauce you can BBQ, Bake or Dip it!  The “Sweet and Hot” taste is delicious with any meat.  Awesome with Hors d’oeuvers!  Add it to your beans or meatloaf.  Glaze a ham, stir-fry it in your vegetables, take it camping, and excellent with game meats.  You will soon find the Cookin’ Seasoning will take the “first place” spot in your spice cabinet.

Fall Off The Bone BBQ Ribs

Sprinkle ribs generously with J. Lee Roy’s Cookin’Seasoning.  Barbeque ribs for 1-1 ½ hours.  Remove and lay flat in foil or in a flat pan.  Pour J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce over ribs.  Wrap in foil or cover the pan.  Slow bake in oven or BBQ until desired tenderness is reached.  They will be the “Best in the West.”

Another great "Best in the West" recipe. Serves 12 or more.

Brown together:

  • 1 lb ground beef and ½ lb of sausage

Add 2 tsp of Cookin’ Seasoning.  Sauté with 1 bunch chopped green onions, 1 large chopped onion, 4 cloves chopped garlic, handful of chopped parsley.  Add ½ lb can diced tomatoes and 1 large can (gallon size) Western Spice beans.  Add 15 oz of Dippin’ Sauce.  Heat until hot and bubbly.

J. Lee Roy's Special White Pasta

This pasta dish is J. Lee Roy's most requested recipe. Makes 6 servings.

Sauté in a fry pan:

  • ½ cup olive oil or butter
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 chopped yellow onion
  • 6 chopped green onions
  • 3 chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning
  • (Optional:  1 cup sliced mushrooms)

Sauté until soft, about 10 minutes.  Add sauce to cooked spaghetti, rigatoni, or mostaccioli, top with shredded Jack cheese. Other serving options include:  adding sliced vegetables or meats.

Tri-Tip Sandwiche“Cook-Off Special” Tri-Tip Sandwiches

Split 6-inch sourdough rolls.  Dip insides of roll in Au-juice or beef broth.  Pour Dippin’ Sauce on roll over Au-juice.  Add tri-tip slices and grilled onions. 

For a cold sandwich:  Split rolls.  Add mustard on one side.  Dippin’ Sauce on the other side.  Top with meat slices, red onion slices and shredded lettuce.

Terrific Tuna Sandwich Stretcher

  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning
  • 1 small can diced olives
  • ½ cup sweet pickle relish
  • ½ cup chopped red or yellow onion
  • 2 chopped green onions
  • 1 grated carrot (Optional: 1 grated apple, chopped green chili peppers)

Mix in mayonnaise and ¼ cup Dippin’ Sauce.  Serve open face on your favorite bread with a dollop of salsa on top.

Leftover Pasta or Meats?

Make Quick Minestrone Soup! 

  • 3 cups water and beef bullion
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • ½ can spinach
  • 2 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning
  • Leftover pasta or sliced meats or no meat!

Heat and serve.

Barbecued Brisket of Beef

4-6 lbs brisket of beef.  Rub with 2 tbs liquid smoke.  Cover and refrigerate over night.  Place large double thickness of heavy foil in roaster pan.  Place meat in pan and season with 2 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning, 1 cup Dippin’ Sauce and 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce.  Seal foil airtight and bake 4-5 hours at 325 degrees.

Baked Chicken

Split chicken in half or cut into pieces.  Place in baking pan.  Brush with butter, crushed garlic and Cookin’ seasoning.  Bake at 350 for 30 mins turning once and basting again.  Spread on J. lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce, turn oven.

Quick and Easy Ribs

Sprinkle J. Lee Roy’s Cookin’ Seasoning on ribs and place ribs in Crock Pot.  Pour J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce over ribs.  Let cook slowly for several hours.  Delicious!

Ham and Glaze

Spread J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce on your baking Ham the last 30 minutes or until done.

Zesty Meatloaf

Prepare your favorite Meatloaf recipe.  Add ½ cup J. lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce and 1 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning to the recipe, bake as usual.  Spread a little J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce on top of the Meatloaf just before serving.

Barbecued Meats

Ribs, Chicken, Steaks, Hamburgers, Pork Chops, Lamb, etc.  Cook meat until brown.  Brush on J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce and continue cooking until done.

Wild Game

Excellent with Venison, Duck, Pheasant, etc.  Bake your meats with it or DIP IT!

Remember!

Any BBQ Sauce will burn over open flame.  BBQ it lower-BBQ it slower and BBQ it with J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce the last 10 minutes!

Shrimp Cocktail

Easy Spinach Salad Dressing

Prepare your favorite Oil & Vinegar Salad Dressing (12 oz size).  Add 3 tbs of J. Lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce and ½ tsp Cookin Seasoning.  Shake well.  Great Zesty Flavor!

Cream Cheese Dip

Pour J. Lee Roy’s over a Philadelphia Cream Cheese Square.  Sprinkle Baby Shrimp or Crab Meat on top, serve wit your favorite crackers.  Quick and easy!

“Sweet and Hot” Stir-Fry Cabbage

Chop 1 head of cabbage and 1 large onion.  Slice 5 medium zucchinis.  Sauté in a small amount of oil.  1 tsp J. lee Roy’s Cookin’ Seasoning and ½ cup J. lee Roy’s Dippin’ Sauce.  Cover and steam until soft. 

Easier Pasta Salad

Cook and drain pasta noodles and marinate in J. Lee Roy’s Easy Spinach Salad Dressing.  Put in a zip lock bag and refrigerate.

Prepare:

  • ½ diced red onion
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • Handful chopped parsley
  • 2 diced tomatoes
  • ½ can sliced olives

Be creative!  Mix with 1 cup mayonnaise and ¼ cup red wine vinegar, 1 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning and ½ cup Dippin’ Sauce, regular or hot.  Mix in some chopped green chilles if you like it hot!  Add all to drained pasta noodles.  It’s great!

 

Winning Seafood Sauce Recipes!

Shrimp Cocktail

Seafood Cocktail Sauce

Add chopped celery, parsley and dash of lemon and a sprinkle of J. Lee Roy’s Cookin’ Seasoning to the Seafood Sauce.

Thousand Island Delight

Add some Seafood Sauce, a little sweet pickle relish, and a sprinkle of Cookin’ Seasoning to your mayonnaise dressing.  Wow!

Scrumptious Seafood Dip

  • 1 lbs salad shrimp, washed. 
  • 1 lb imitation crab meat, flaked. 
  • 15 oz Seafood Sauce
  • 1 4 oz can chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp Cookin’ Seasoning
  • ½ bunch fresh chopped Cilantro
  • 2 stalks chopped celery

Combine all and refrigerate for 1 hour.  Serve with chips or bread cubes.  Also great on baked potatoes!

J. Lee Roy’s “Fantastic Fish Fillets”

Buy fillets of your favorite fish.  Red Snapper, Bass, Ling Cod, Halibut, Sole, etc.  Mix 2 tablespoons of J. Lee Roy’s Cookin’ Seasoning with 1- ½ cups flour.  Cover fillets with flour, and then dip them in a pan with 1 cup of milk.  
Cover fillets again with the flour mix.  Sauté in a fry pan with butter and olive oil until crispy and done.  Wonderful with our Seafood Sauce!
